The 2025 Fire Disaster was a collection of seven destructive wildfires that burned in Los Angeles County in January 2025. As a result, tens of thousands of acres of wildlands and thousands of structures burned. To mitigate the extensive losses incurred by businesses and communities from the fires of 2025, the State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) will be working with Los Angeles County on the 2025 Fire Disaster National Dislocated Worker Grant (NDWG) and Additional Assistance Grant.
